Pre-Purchase Homeownership Counseling in Four LifeSkills Sessions
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the City of Columbus certified housing counseling agency. The Homeownership staff is certified by the NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling. MORPC's Housing and Community Services Department provides pre-purchase, post-purchase and financial literacy group sessions. Also offered are one-on-one credit counseling, loss mitigation and foreclosure counseling.
Classes include: Understanding Your Credit/Budgeting and Money Management, Home Inspection and Homeowner's Insurance, Realtor/Mortgage and Predatory Lending, Home Maintenance & Repair
